In Friday's lesson we used the lighting (similar to a lighting system I used the year before while doing a Media A-Level) to make shadows and silhouettes. The lights we used were rather hard to work with as they warmed up very quickly, making moving them around slightly dangerous.

Kirkstall Abbey

For this lesson, we went to Kirkstall Abbey to expand on the landscape and architecture techniques we had learnt the week before. We were told to take as much time as possible thinking about the photo, making sure we were happy with the composition and lighting, before actually taking it.
