brain storming - spider diagram
word association - words that has similar meanings or suggests similar meanings
exquisite corpses - parts of a person drawn separately - draw head, fold over paper, draw chest etc
discussion - discussing possible ideas with one or more people.
lateral thinking - using logic and imagination

landscape/location final

For my final location photography work, I chose to photograph my bed. In my room it is ideally located for this work - with the bedroom light pointed at it, but shielded from it at the same time by the roofs supporting wall.
In the mirror, the flipped room suggests dreaming.

I did some research into Nan Goldin and Terry Richards due to more natural lighting technique i wanted to use, but essentially found them unhelpful.

Making Planets!!

To  make a 'planet' an image should be a rectangle. The you change the image size so that it is square - taking off the 'constrain image' so that it will become square and the sizes don't automatically change to keep the shape. rotate the image if you want a planet where everything points outwards  Click on Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates

Narrative Images

We were asked to walk around town and take 3 photos in the same area, each showing something different and telling you something about the place.

The picture of the houses and the park show the different ages of the buildings in Leeds. With the uglier, but newer hospital building towering over the older former homes, while still showing that Leeds has lots of green space within its boundaries.

The bench pulled from its moorings, however, show social unrest (or drunken idiots) ruining what it otherwise a nicer area of Leeds.

Contrasty Images

In this lesson we were looking to take 2 pictures - one showing one thing and the other showing its opposite; such as a photo of a modern, but pretty, block of flats, next to St.Georges Crypt. Or a footbridge and a motorway, a park and some shops
